Prior to joining Bronstein Van Veen, Meredith spent her career in the litigation department at Stroock & Stroock & Lavan LLP, and as an attorney with the boutique litigation firm of Grais & Ellsworth LLP.
Meredith has handled many complex litigation matters in a wide array of areas of the law, including real estate, mortgage-backed securities, professional liability, and breach of contract. She has tried both bench and jury cases in New York Supreme Court, handled all aspects of discovery in state and federal cases including taking and defending depositions, represented clients in arbitration and mediation, and briefed successful appeals to the Appellate Division and the New York Court of Appeals.
Her professional experience also includes trying pro bono cases in immigration court, where she won grants of political asylum for survivors of persecution and torture from Iraq, Guinea, Sierra Leone, and Tibet.
Meredith grew up in a small town in Georgia, where she was a pre-professional ballet dancer and performed principal roles in many local productions. At the University of Michigan, she rowed on the women’s crew team and won numerous academic awards. Since settling in New York, Meredith has finished the New York City Marathon twice, is an active volunteer in her church, and is a frequent patron of the New York City Ballet.
